OCEAN3R final project workshop – 27 June 2023
A final project workshop was organized on June the 27th 2023 (88 participants) to disseminate project results to different audiences (researchers and stakeholders) and identify new opportunities for market-exploitation of results.

Conversation with school – Inês Samara
OCEAN3R Young Researcher Inês Samara participated in a session with pre-school children from Externato Jardim Flori. The session focused on the approach of the Ocean’s importance, as well as on the discussion of the problem of plastic pollution in the Ocean and the actions we should implement to minimize or solve this problem.
Conversation with school – Axel Chabrerie
Within the scope of a visit by 8th grade students from the Ermesinde Elementary School, the OCEAN3R young researcher Axel Chabrerie held a conversation session with these students, presenting some of his research as well as interesting and particular aspects of the life and daily routine of a scientist.
Dissemination activities at OCEAN3R first annual meeting 1st of June
During the OCEAN3R first annual meeting, 10 young scientists shared different initiatives/dissemination activities targeting data sharing, citizen engagement and governance, including activities related to marine habitats monitoring.

OCEAN3R with Cmia de Matosinhos at Mar Shopping
OCEAN3R was present at the 1st edition of the event “Together, we are Safety and Health”, to be held at Mar Shopping from the 24th to the 27th of May and which will feature awareness-raising actions, lectures, and exhibitions.

OCEAN3R at XIII Symposium on Bioengineering
On the 25th of March, researchers Maria Paola Tomasino and Joana Fernandes from the #OCEAN3R project participated in the XIII Symposium on Bioengineering with a workshop on “Microbial Bioremediation” introducing participants to the methods of discovering bioremediation pathways using different methods.
